Edith Zewadski-Bricker
Edith Zewadski-Bricker, mother of three and wife to Tim the founding president of Habitat for Humanity in the Upper Keys and the Upper Keys Aquatic Center, is, in her own rights, the Monroe County Social Worker/Supervisor in the Upper Keys. Edith was a founder of the Florida Keys Children's Shelter a natural outgrowth of her position as Child Abuse Prevention Specialist. Through her work with the Shelter, Edith realized a talent for writing grants and fund-raising. With these skills she went to work for the United Methodist Women's Division - Ministry with Refugee Women and Children as Deputy Director of the Haitian Organizaiton of Women. Subsequently, Edith accepted a position as Development Director of Agape Women's Center, a drug treatment center in South Dade. One of her accomplishments at Agape was to win a million-dollar grant for homeless women.
Edith's faith journey has taken her to many fulfilling frontiers, but the most fulfilling was that as President of Miami District's United Methodist Women. As an Advisory Council member of DOLPHINS, Edith is again fulfilled in knowing that she is about the Lord's business.
